Digital mammography
The Radiology Baden-Baden practice offers the entire spectrum of diagnostic mammography with cutting-edge equipment. The practice has officially been a mammography screening unit of the Medical Association (Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung—KV) for the central Baden region for many years. With over 10,000 exams per year, the Radiology Baden-Baden practice has excellent, proven expertise in the field of early breast cancer detection. In addition to digital mammography, we also use the following diagnostic techniques:
Sonography
Sonography is a supplemental methods for characterizing findings that cannot be reliably evaluated from a mammogram, and to clarify palpation findings. Click here to learn more about sonography …
MR-Mammography
A breast MRT produces images with the help of a contrast agent. This method is the most sensitive for breast cancer detection. It can be helpful as a supplement method in case of unclear findings and used for special questions in the course of postoperative treatment. Click here to learn more about MRI mammography …
Digital mammography is still the technology of choice for many mammography concerns, and is sufficient to clarify many concerns. The technology is also used for the mammography screening programs.
X-rays are electromagnetic waves that are produced by an X-ray tube for medical purposes. They were discovered by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen in Würzburg in 1895. The X-ray produced in the X-ray system are transmitted through the body region to be examined, then the photons that have passed through are guided to a digital detector system to produce the image. Modern image processing systems allow the best possible image quality with a very low radiation dose.
In the Radiology Baden-Baden practice, we use a latest-generation digital X-ray system, which guarantees minimal radiation doses for our patients. The dose is precisely captured and documented. Click here to learn more about radiation exposure from mammography …
