SIEMENS Edge 128-line
Radiology Baden-Baden is the first center in the central Baden region to install a SIEMENS Edge system for its patients. We deliberately selected this high-end, top-class spiral CT system. Using newly developed postprocessing tools and reconstructions such as SAFIRE and ADMIRE, the SIEMENS Edge can further reduce the dose to as little as 60% while also increasing the speed (0.28 sec rotation time) in comparison with similar machines on the market. Very sharp images are thus possible, even of quickly moving organs such as the heart, so an optimal diagnosis can be provided for the patient.
Using a new detector system (Stellar detector), so-called Dual Energy imaging is possible. That is, this detector simultaneously acquires high and low KV beams. High-contrast images at even higher resolution are therefore possible for many issues and are a unique selling point of this high-end CT system.
We are happy to make this latest-generation CT system available, with the highest speed and lowest radiation.
In the area of image artifact reduction due to implants, such as bone fracture or dental implants (for dental CT), the use of additional postprocessing tools such as i-MAR (iterative metal artifact reduction) can significantly improve image quality and thus the effectiveness of the scan.

At our new location in the center of the city, our patients enjoy special bright, friendly room design, illumination (lighting), including sky simulation, so the CT exam can be as pleasant as possible.
